Kühl becomes Qivive

Cologne, 3 June 2020
The law firm Kühl Rechtsanwalts-GmbH, founding partner of Epp & Kühl, will operate under the name "Qivive" from 3 June 2020. Even though the joint brand name will no longer be used, the law firms Qivive and Epp remain on excellent terms.
The French-German law firm Epp & Kühl was founded in 2001 as a network between the two economically independent law firms Epp Rechtsanwalts-GmbH and Kühl Rechtsanwalts-GmbH. With almost 40 lawyers (Avocats & Rechtsanwälte) and 6 offices in France and Germany, Epp & Kühl is one of the leading firms specialised in French-German legal advice.
From now on, the law firm Epp Rechtsanwalts-GmbH will operate under the name "Epp" whilst the law firm Kühl Rechtsanwalts-GmbH has decided to rebrand itself as "Qivive". However, both law firms will remain on friendly terms and will continue to work together on major projects involving their different offices.
“The rebranding in Qivive and the concentration on our offices in Cologne, Paris and Lyon will enable us to position ourselves even better on the French-German legal advice market”, explains Christophe Kühl, founding partner of Epp & Kühl. Qivive is now planning to expand its Paris office and, among others, its arbitration department with Edith Aupetit and Dr. Christiane Lenz.
The relaunch does not change the existing client relationships of Kühl Rechtsanwalts-GmbH, as it is merely a change of name and the team of more than 20 lawyers around the partners, Dr. Christophe Kühl (corporate law), Emilie Wider (labour law) and Gordian Deger (contract law and litigation) remains unchanged.
