Qivive assists GPI Group in its external growth project in Germany

Qivive was privileged to assist Bontronic Steuerungstechnik GmbH in its growth project in Germany.
Bontronic, part of the listed Gerard Perrier Industrie Group (GPI), specialises in the development, industrial manufacturing and distribution of electronic boards, electronic and electrotechnical products and related accessories.
The acquisition involved the totality of shares held by Dipl.-Ing. Peter Pohl GmbH and Dipl.-Ökonom Peter Pohl GmbH.
The proposed acquisition has enabled both companies to benefit from significant advantages in their respective commercial and development strategies.
For the GPI Group, in addition to consolidating and developing its presence in Germany, the merger means that, with the support of Bontronic and its management, it will be able to gain in geographical proximity and benefit from the support of a family of German industrialists who share common values and are familiar with the electrotechnical environment in Germany.
The legal side was led by Jan Westhues and jointly supported by Dr. Christophe Kühl and Johanna Sahbatou (corporate law), Fabian Neugebauer and Audrey Bouffil (labour law), Gordian Deger, Dr. Christine Beneke and Carla Liehr (contract law). Tax services were provided by the Hamburg accountancy firm TplusC (Tony Ribeiro, Jörg Marten and Hugues Kirstetter). The M&A advisor was Dominique Cherpin from Villafrance.
