Qivive has another specialist lawyer for labour law

We are pleased to announce that our colleague Jan Westhues is now entitled to use the title "Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht” (specialist lawyer for labour law). Congratulations to him!

Alongside Fabian Neugebauer, he is now the second specialist lawyer in this field in our firm. About three and a half years after his admission to the bar, he was granted this title by the Cologne Bar Association on 11 April 2023.

In addition to passing the theoretical examinations, the prerequisite for being allowed to use this specialist lawyer title is the handling of at least 100 labour law cases within a period of three years, both in individual labour law and in collective labour law, at least half of which must be court proceedings.

Jan represents our clients in all areas of German labour law, both in and out of court, and has proven his labour law expertise in particular by successfully handling more than 150 labour law cases within a three-year period. He also regularly publishes articles in legal journals and advises our clients on German corporate law.
